    Literally everything was exceptional from the commutation the instant I booked, the level of staff attentiveness, the room was absolutely wonderful with a stunning view, the location was perfect and the food was absolutely divine

    The staff were helpful, friendly, and always available. They are always engaging and assist in every way they can. They ask each guest how they slept etc...The gardens and pool are wonderful. The pool is a salt pool and is environmentally preferable and is easier on the skin. The hotel is close to the seaside - just a short walk away. Breakfast was fresh and tasty. Access to the 'honesty' fridge is very convenient. It is very quiet and the other guests are interesting. The wifi did not work on my first day but was fixed first thing on Monday morning and was reliable and strong after that. The floors are always kept clean and the hot water in the shower works well. The entire place is very well managed.

    Banana House is a wonderfully secluded peaceful guest house a very short walk from the foreshore and all amenities in Shela. Shela itself boasts miles of Sandy beaches, beautiful dunes with sailing fishing and other activities as well as a wide range of eateries. Banana House offers an excellent morning yoga session not to be missed. the food here is very good indeed and Monica’s team are flexible and responsive. the accommodation is clean and basic - classically East African. This is a great location for couples or singles
